Feb 18, 2017 - It's 46° and clear this morning @ 5am. I woke up at 4:30 sneezing. The cold is back...feeling awful. The knee is still hurting.

Feb 17, 2017 - It's 36° and mostly clear this morning @ 5am. Didn't sleep well. I made it to the store yesterday and twisted my knee by the time I got through the store. It is still painful to walk.

Feb 16, 2017 - It's 28 ° and cloudy this morning @ 5am. Didn't sleep well. I woke up with my neck in spasm. It is really really painful to have spasms in the neck around your esophagus. My arms are really weak and painful...it's all connected. If I don't get enough sleep, my legs get really weak. I have been talking lately, working on genealogy, and it sets my face off and then the rest of my body. I have to make it to the store. I am going to teach my granddaughter how to make rhubarb pie and I need to get rhubarb. So tired of this...if seems the only way I can exist is to do nothing...and that is not existing.

Feb 15, 2017 - It's 32° and partly cloudy this morning @ 4:30am. Back to waking up early. The sniffles are back. Just feeling awful. I have been talking too much lately working on genealogy and have been in a lot of pain.

Feb 14, 2017 - It's 33° and mostly clear this morning @ 7:30am. Happy Valentines Day! I slept in...so much for new schedules. Still...no sniffles. Going to try and make it to the store.

Feb 13, 2017 - It's 30° and clear this morning @ 4:30am. This must be my new sleeping schedule. I must still be half asleep...I somehow managed to delete everything I just wrote. Still...no sniffles...so that is good.

Feb 12, 2017 - It's 42° and mostly cloudy this morning @ 4:30am. I woke up at 3:00am. Change the sheets and now my back is really hurting... sitting on my hot packs. No sniffles...so that is good.

Feb 11, 2017 - It's 39° and mostly clear this morning @ 4:30am. I woke up at 3:00am and decided to just get up. I have a full ledge cold...eyes, nose cough. Stir didn't make it to the store.

Feb 10, 2017 - It's 15° and mostly cloudy this morning @ 5:30am. I must have had a rough night. I woke up with my CPAP off. Hopefully it wasn't most of the night. I can really tell a difference in my pain level if I don't use it. I managed to sweep the snow off of my car so I shouldn't be so wore out if I go to the store today. It is suppose to get to 40° so the roads should be cleared from all the snow.

Feb 9, 2017 - It's 16° and cloudy this morning @ 5:30am. It snowed all day yesterday. The sun is suppose to come out today. If the roads are cleared I might try to make it to the store. Of course if I wait until Friday the snow around my car should melt and I won't have to dig it out. I don't have enough strength and energy to dig my car out and walk around a grocery store.

Feb 8, 2017 - It's 33° and cloudy this morning @ 5am. I feel asleep early and slept through the night. Hopefully will be feeling better. I spent the day Waiting for the Culligan man and watching the snow gently falling. It's beautiful, especially when you don't have to be out in it!

Feb 7, 2017 - It's 50° and pouring down rain this morning @ 4:30am. I woke up at 4am...not sure if it is my messed up sleeping pattern or the rain.The sniffles and water eyes are back. I was able to bend and empty the dishwasher this morning, but am having a lot of pain in my arms. Feb 6, 2017 - It's 26° and clear this morning @ 5am. I didn't sleep last night...going back to bed. My cold seems to have cleared.

Feb 5, 2017 - It's 30° and clear this morning @ 6am. I am not sure how much sleep I got..I was up and down watching late night shows and falling asleep. I still have the sniffles, but my eyes are clearer.

Feb 4, 2017 - It's 13° and mostly clear this morning @ 6am. This "cold" is back full force. I am feeling awful. I just don't know how allergies could make you feel this bad. I got about 7 hrs sleep anyway. 

Feb 3, 2017 - It's 16 ° and partly cloudy this morning @ 5am. I slept 6 hrs and my back is better. I am going to try and sweep today. My nose is starting to sniffle I hope the cold isn't coming back. 9am - I spoke too soon. I could hardly bend over to put away the dishes. I guess sweeping will wait another day. My nose is really running...it looks like it was only 3 days clear. Apparently it must be some kind of allergy. It is going on 2 years now. I have a prescription for claritin and still take benadryl and it hardly makes any difference. Feb 2, 2017 - It's 22° and mostly clear this morning @ 5am. I was so tired yesterday I fell asleep at 4pm and just woke up at 4am. The cold is coming back...started sneezing and coughing and my eyes are watering. I feel asleep without my CPAP and now my legs are so weak they feel wobbly. I am going to start working on the site.

Jan 31, 2017 - It's 37° and mostly cloudy this morning @ 6am. My cold has finally cleared up...now I am going to keep track how long it takes before I get sick again. Some of the other residents here are having the same issues. Not sure if it is jut something in the air or just old age. Didn't make it to the store yesterday...will try again today.

Jan 29, 2017 - It's 26° and partly cloudy this morning. Slept in and feeling a little better. My nose is still running, but I am not as weak and aching. I carefully changed the sheets and only strained my back a little. Watching the Sunday news programs on my hot packs. My eyes have cleared up so I should be able to read later.

Jan 28, 2017 - It's 26° and partly cloudy this morning. I went out yesterday to get my prescriptions and now am feeling really bad. Sore throat, aching, and still fighting this cold...sneezing and miserable. I am getting really weak and wheezing. My eyes have been too watery to read...just laying on hot packs and watching shows on my Amazon Fire Stick. Thanks to my kids for adding me to their movie accounts my viewing is much more enjoyable.

Jan 26, 2017 - It's 34° and cloudy this morning...expecting snow shower later today. Not going out anyway...the cold is back. My nose won't stop running (taking 2 different antihistamines) and I ache all over. I was just watching the PBS show about Rachel Carson again.

Jan 24, 2017 - It's 49° and sunny this morning. I am congestion free today. However, I changed my sheets and wrenched my back again...then washed the sheets and the knob on my dryer broke off. Now I have sheets draped all over my apartment drying. I sent the manager an email about the dryer, but I see she is in her office today and will go over after I send this. Still working on my diet plan and recipes.

I was an environmentalist in High School after reading the book "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson. There is a documentary tonight on PBS - WTTW @ 9pm.
